My gaze is first anchored in territories and realities that are close to me: the suburbs, Romani communities, and paths of exile. Yet it remains open to other horizons, guided by curiosity and a sustained attention to the world around me. My work is nourished above all by the sharing of the moment, by the element of mystery inherent in human encounters. I seek to follow life journeys, to observe them and recount them with accuracy, without judgment, allowing reality to express itself on its own terms.
I began working in photography at the age of 16, as an apprentice in architectural photography, before working as an assistant in a fashion studio. In 2000, I chose to turn toward documentary photography and trained in photojournalism at the EMI-CFD school in Paris. From 2001 onward, I collaborated as a photo-reporter with the agency “Boomerang,” led by Patrick Chauvel. In 2007, I joined the photographers’ collective “Libre arbitre.” Since then, I have pursued my work as an independent photographer, in regular collaboration with the national press and with institutions.
Alongside my photographic reporting, I develop multimedia projects combining photography, video, and sound recording. These complementary formats extend the same journalistic rigor and the same commitment to bearing witness to reality, with both engagement and sensitivity.
